As part of my ongoing campaign to have the Glass House Mountains included on the National Landscape list, I am thrilled to be hosting a representative from Parks Australia at a community information session on Monday 11 April at Tranquil Park Maleny. This session will provide information on the program itself and allow community members to get a better understanding of the inner workings of the program. We will be offering tea and coffee so if you would like to come along just email or call my office and we can add you to the list. This is a really great opportunity for our region as the National Landscape program celebrates iconic Australian landscapes and offers a united approach to marketing and promoting these icons throughout the world. The focus is on capturing the essence of Indigenous and natural Australia. Inclusion on the National Landscape list will have enormous benefits for the Glass House Mountains area with a potential injection of funds and increased marketing of what the Glass House Mountains and the hinterland have to offer both international and domestic tourists. Hope to see you there.
