The Parliamentary winter break is proving to be a great opportunity for me to spend more time at some of our local events. The last month has been a busy one the Range. For starters, I was thrilled to be involved in the opening of the Blackall Range Care Groups’ new facility at the Maleny Hospital. I also attended the Maleny Commerce breakfast, the Blackall Range Land Use Planning Committee meeting and the Maleny Rural Fire Brigade AGM.
I would like to extend a huge congrats to the Maleny Singers for a fantastic performance of ‘The Merry Widow’. I made it along to their gala opening night a few weeks ago and had a great night.
Last Saturday night I was able to say a quick hello to the folks involved with the Queensland Council P & C Association who had a special function in Maleny before heading on to the Quota Debutante Ball. Thanks to the organisers of both of these events for catering to my chaotic schedule!
