Latest Update – 4 June 2012
Great news that the Peachester Range Road was opened to two lanes on Friday 1 June. This has been a long time coming and again, I extend my thanks to locals for their patience.
There may be some small closures later this week during the night to complete line marking as wet weather last week stopped this from happening.
Latest update – Tuesday 29 May
The Department of Transport and Main Roads have phoned our office this morning to advise the road will be open to two lanes of traffic by the end of the week.
They decided not to install a guardrail but will be going ahead with line marking. The line marking should be done either Wednesday or Thursday night.
Update mid May
My recent update from the Department of Transport and Main Roads has indicated that despite an enormous amount of wet weather, works are progressing really well on the Range Road. Locals have been incredibly patient and understanding through this long and drawn out process and I thank you! The latest update has the road being finalised late May to early June so motorists need to just be mindful of any equipment and plant that may be required to be shifted from the site. Look out for any Variable Message Signs that will be used to indicate changes to previous road arrangements. I am further advised that plans to install a guardrail have been re-assessed and that the Department are now just waiting for some final linemarking and the safety sign off. This should happen in a matter of days. Thanks again for your patience.
