ANZAC Day, held on 25 April each year, is a time to pay our respects to all those who have served in military operations throughout our nation’s history and acknowledge those who currently serve in the military today. Anzac Day is observed across Queensland with commemorative dawn services, and parades of ex-servicemen and women and uniformed Australian Defence Force members. With a very wide spread electorate to cover, a lot of planning goes into my Anzac Day schedule so that I can visit and participate in as many Glass House services as possible. This year I am pleased to say I joined services in Palmwoods, Wamuran, Witta and Glasshouse Mountains. As each ANZAC Day passes, I am reminded how lucky we are to callAustraliahome, particularly those of us lucky enough to live inQueensland.
