Domestic and family violence is a very real problem in our community. Every day, an average of 175 reports of domestic and family violence are investigated by police across our State. It is with this in mind that the Premier established the Special Taskforce on Domestic and Family Violence in Queensland, chaired by the Hon Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO.
The way our community responds to domestic and family violence is an important consideration of the taskforce so I am encouraging you to have your say and contribute your thoughts. Submissions can be made by emailing – DFVTaskforce@premiers.qld.gov.au and more information can be found at www.qld.gov.au/dfvtaskforce.
