Glass House locals are getting a better Bruce Highway – and now they’re getting the chance to win personalised plates too.
Member for Glass House, Andrew Powell MP said a new photography competition was being launched as part of the Newman LNP Government’s Spruce the Bruce campaign, with personalised It’s great to be a Queenslander plates up for grabs.
Almost 200 projects are being funded to improve the state’s 1700km lifeline and to mark the mammoth upgrade drivers are being asked to snap the most scenic views on the road.
“Only the Newman LNP Government has a strong team with a strong plan working hard to build a better Bruce Highway for Queensland,” he said.
“We understand the inconvenience roadworks can cause, but once the work is complete we’ll have a Bruce that is safer, has more capacity and is flood resilient.
“Next time you’re travelling by your favourite part of the Bruce, find a safe place to stop and take a picture.”

The Newman LNP Government has partnered with the Federal Government to deliver a 10-year package of works along the length of the Bruce Highway.
