Largely due to a united community voice calling for improvements to the Reed Street and Steve Irwin Way intersection at Glasshouse Mountains, I was happy to announce earlier this week that the state government are funding upgrades to this intersection. One of the major improvements will be a set of traffic signals that will ensure the ongoing safety of motorists who travel in and out of Glasshouse Mountains.
The community has been crying out for this much needed safety improvement for many years and I am so happy to say I have been able to deliver on my commitment to seeing this project come to fruition.
The Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Scott Emerson MP, knew how much our community wanted to see these lights installed so he made sure he was onsite with me when we made this fantastic announcement.
Thanks to all of those people who have emailed and called my office to share their views on this campaign – we couldn’t have achieved this result without you!
