2015 Election information – how to obtain a postal vote and pre-polling information

All households in the Glass House electorate will start receiving Postal Vote Applications in the mail from today – they are in a plan white envelope so keep an eye out.  If you are going away but can nominate an address for your ballot papers to be sent to, then this is a great option for you.

If you do not get the letter and application in the mail you can apply for one online by clicking on the following link –  http://www.ecq.qld.gov.au/2015QLD.aspx?id=11880

Alternatively, there will be pre-poll locations set up throughout the Glass House electorate that you can visit in the lead up to polling day. They are as follows –

1. Returning Office in Beerwah – this will be open for pre-poll votes from Monday 19 January at 9am.  It will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm until election day.

The address is – Unit 1, 47 Beerwah Parade, Beerwah.

2. Maleny Pre-poll – a temporary office will be set up at Shop 3, 15 Maple Street Maleny (opposite the IGA) from Wednesday 21 January to Friday 23 January – 9am to 5pm.

3. Maleny Police Station – Pre-polling will then commence at the QGAP office in Maleny from Tuesday 27 January and will run everyday that week from 9am to 2pm.  I am aware that a letter was sent to Glass House residents from the ECQ advising that pre-poll would start in Maleny on Monday 19 January.  The ECQ have apologised for giving this advice and they have now set up the temporary office at 15 Maple Street until the move back to the QGAP office.

4. Caboolture- opening Monday 19 January at 9am.

59 Beerburrum Rd, Caboolture

The Polling Booth is a white building between Bridgestone Tyres and the Mower Centre.
