Delivered – a new police station for Maleny
After successfully lobbying for additional police officers in Maleny three years ago, Andrew Powell MP, Member for Glass House immediately turned his attention to delivering a new Police Station.

Mr Powell is now delighted to announce that construction has commenced on a brand new Police Station and QGAP Office in Macadamia Drive that will more comfortably accommodate the officers and administration staff both now and in to the future.

“It’s an exciting day for Maleny! I’ve been quietly working away behind the scenes with successive governments to see our plans for a new station become a reality.

“Our community is growing and therefore our services and infrastructure need to grow too, and this new station will become a community safety and service hub the whole Blackall Range can be proud of.

Completion of the new station is expected, weather permitting, in December 2016.

“But if you can’t wait to see what it’s going to look like please feel free to drop in to my office, the current police station or the Maleny Library to view the plans,” Mr Powell concluded.
