Quad Bike Safety – A matter of priority for the Caboolture Classic and Vintage Speedway Association Inc
With almost 70 people killed in quad bike accidents over the past 15 years, President of the Caboolture Classic and Vintage Speedway Association Inc (CCVSA) Mr John Fry is wanting to prevent further deaths by promoting the Statewide Plan for Improving Quad Bike Safety in Queensland.
Member for Glass House, Andrew Powell, was delighted recently to allocate one of his Local Heroes Grants to the CCVSA to assist with costs associated in running a Quad Bike Education day during the September / October school holidays.
“We’ve got to do more to keep people safe on quad bikes, and I am encouraged by the CCVSA’s efforts in running this Education Day,” Mr Powell stated.
“I recently met with Mr John Fry and he outlined the program for the day which includes both practical and theory components and is suitable for all ages from five to 75!”
Mr Fry said “The program is aimed at making participants aware of the Statewide Plan and changing the mindset of quad bike users to ensure that the key risk factors are addressed and avoided”.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Quad Bike Education Day on Friday 30 September, please contact John Fry on 5495 7736 or 0408 787 895.
