Stanley River Wolves Secure Funding for a New Scoreboard and Timer

Thursday, 9 September 2021

Member for Glass House Andrew Powell is excited to announce that the Stanley River Wolves Rugby League Football Club has secured $8,900 through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) is Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program and distributes approximately $60 million each year to not-for-profit community groups. The GCBF allocates funding to these groups to help them provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.

This grant money will be significant for the Stanley River Wolves, as it will mean that “we will have scoreboards and timers running on both fields for 2022!”, says Club Secretary Mary-Anne Hallam.

“Mary-Anne and the team have done a brilliant job advocating for the club through grants and making improvements to the grounds!  I’m pleased we’ve been able to partner with them through the GCBF”, concluded Mr Powell.
