Call for safety improvements at Kilcoy-Beerwah Road intersection

Several months ago I committed to sponsoring a petition requesting changes and improvements to the intersection of Kilcoy Beerwah Road and Old Gympie Road in Beerwah – the intersection near the Beerwah State School. In the past, both my colleague Mark McArdle and I have unsuccessfully lobbied the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to provide a financial commitment to upgrade this intersection. I am now pleased to advise that local resident, Kel McNamara, has agreed to be the principal petitioner and as such we are requesting the House to call on the Minister for Main Roads to immediately commission planning, funding and construction of safety upgrades and to consider all options at this intersection.
