The Results are in! Your 2022 Glassies Winners Revealed!

Member for Glass House Andrew Powell has recently congratulated the round three winners of his 2022 Local Heroes Grants.

“There were lots of sporty applicants and winners this round!” said Mr Powell.

“Let’s have a drumroll for all the latest winners”

  • Beerwah Sportsgrounds
Restoring the shed and office from water and mould damage
  • Kayden Little, 11-12 Years School Sport Rugby Union Regional Team
Funding contribution towards cost of attending the State Championship in Rockhampton in July (and Kayden’s team won silver!)
  • Wamuran Historical & Visitors Centre
Hosting “Music on the Wamuran Village Green” on the Wamuran Hall grounds on 1st October
  • Be Farm Fit
Purchasing equipment for 4-12 years old kids bootcamp

“I’d especially like to highlight the Beerwah Sportsground application. Sisters Amanda and Katie are the caretakers of the grounds and have been volunteering all their spare time since September last year.”

“The joint shed/office where they have been living has been badly damaged by water and mould and there was no money available to have it fixed.”

“Thank you Amanda, Katie and team for all the hard work you do. I hope this helps.”
