The Crisafulli Government is progressing planning for the Landsborough-Maleny Road and Maleny-Montville Road intersection upgrade with the second round of investigations set to commence.
Led by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), the investigations will include geotechnical and pavement assessments, which will help inform and refine the future upgrade options, ensuring the design is tailored to the site’s unique conditions and delivers the best outcomes for the community.
The Crisafulli Government committed $7 million in the 2024 election to upgrade the intersection at Landsborough-Maleny and Maleny-Montville Roads.
The upgrade aims to improve safety and network efficiency, as well as reduce peak hour congestion.
Member for Glass House Andrew Powell said the project demonstrated the Crisafulli Government’s commitment to creating a safer and more reliable road network for all road users, now and into the future.

Investigations will commence from Monday, October 27, 2025, weather and conditions permitting. They will be progressively undertaken over two weeks.
Motorists may experience minor delays when diversions or temporary lane closures are in place. TMR will keep the community updated as the project progresses.
