I might be biased, but I genuinely believe the Glass House Electorate is the best in Queensland.

We are fortunate to live in a region rich in natural beauty, strong community spirit and incredible local character and it is an honour to continue serving the people of Glass House and representing our communities in State Parliament.

Following the completion of the Queensland electoral redistribution, the boundaries of the Glass House Electorate will be changing significantly, creating a new chapter for our region after the October 2028 election.

While change is never easy, it can present opportunity.

One of the most difficult parts of this redistribution will be saying goodbye to the communities of Mt Mee, Ocean View, Elimbah, Upper Caboolture, Wamuran, Woodford and surrounding areas. After nearly two decades representing these communities, I am genuinely heartbroken to see them move into a different (new) electorate. I have had the privilege of working alongside local residents, community groups, businesses and families to deliver important outcomes for the region, and I am incredibly grateful for the support and friendships formed over the years.

At the same time, I am excited that the electorate will now include Beerwah and Landsborough, communities I have long believed belong naturally within the Glass House Electorate due to their strong ties to the surrounding hinterland and mountain communities. I am also excited to welcome residents from Glenview, Chevallum, Tanawha, Ilkley and Palmwoods.

Having lived locally for more than 23 years, I know this region well. I understand both the opportunities and challenges facing our growing communities, and I am committed to ensuring every resident has a strong voice in State Parliament.

Importantly, while the new boundaries have now been determined, I will continue to represent all existing constituents, including those areas transferring to other electorates, until the 2028 State Election. Until then, my team and I remain committed to assisting residents across the current electorate and ensuring your voices continue to be heard.

The new Glass House Electorate now brings together communities across the Sunshine Coast hinterland, from our iconic Glass House Mountains and productive farming districts through to our thriving townships and growing residential communities. While the boundaries may have changed, what remains constant is my commitment to protecting what makes our region special while planning for the future.

Whether it’s advocating for better infrastructure, supporting local businesses, strengthening community services or ensuring our region receives its fair share of investment, I will continue working hard every day for the people of Glass House.

The future of our electorate is bright, and I look forward to continuing that journey with you.
