Voting now open until Tuesday 6th July 2021
Following feedback from the Chambers and the public after our last four awards, we have gone back to the original format where there will be a nomination period followed by a voting period. This means that a Business or Employee needs to be nominated between Tuesday 18th May and the close of business on Tuesday 1st June to be included in the list of finalists for when the voting stage begins on Tuesday 8th June. A full list of finalists will be displayed on my website and voting will conclude at the close of business on Tuesday 6th July.
Just like last year, there will be four regions this year – Montville Region, Maleny Region, Glasshouse Region and the Moreton Bay Region which takes in the southern end of the electorate. The business and employee in each region with the most votes will pick up a Bronze Glassie. The Silver Glassie will be selected by the Chamber Presidents for true recognition by your peers. The coveted Gold Glassie will be selected by myself and the Chambers and go to one business and one employee from across the Glass House electorate.
The Gala Awards will be held on the night of Tuesday 20th July where all nominated businesses will be profiled and celebrated for their efforts in our region. More details about the event will be shared in the future.
Glass House doesn’t have large shopping centres or central business districts. It’s our small ‘Mum-and-Dad’ business operators that are the lifeblood of our community so these awards have been deliberately designed to promote and recognise the efforts of our many small businesses and their employees and show our appreciation for their contribution to the wider community.
I know that each of you would have at least one experience where you have shopped locally and received excellent customer service so why not seize the opportunity to publicly thank and recognise that small business or staff member and submit a vote now by clicking on the form below
