Glass House is starting 2026 on a high note, with Andrew Powell MP announcing six local organisations will share in $295,797.70 from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) Super Round.
More than 500 not-for-profit groups across Queensland shared in over $31 million in the latest Super Round, which marked the highest number of applications in the Fund’s 31-year history.
This record-breaking round is helping community organisations deliver projects that strengthen local facilities, support sporting and cultural activities, and improve safety and resilience for the year ahead.
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice and Minister for Integrity Deb Frecklington said she was pleased to see the GCBF Super Round support communities across Queensland, particularly those recovering from natural disasters.
“Queenslanders have an unbreakable spirit, but when you’re hit by a natural disaster like a cyclone or a major flood, it can be hard to get back on your feet,” the Attorney-General said.
“The GCBF Super Round is a wonderful opportunity to support organisations across the State as they work to help their own local communities from the Far North, down to the Gold Coast, and out West.
“I want to congratulate each of the successful recipients in Round 124. I hope the grants bring a sense of renewal as we approach the New Year and I look forward to seeing the positive impact the funds will make.”
Mr Powell said the grants would benefit community groups that have faced challenges with stretched budgets and rising costs.
“Every dollar invested by the Crisafulli Government through the GCBF goes directly to the heart of our communities, and I’m proud to support Glass House organisations with this vital funding,” Andrew Powell said.
“Mount Mee Rural Fire Brigade will receive $99,199.70 to upgrade their facilities and purchase additional equipment, helping prepare our community for bushfire season. Stanley River Junior Rugby League Club in Woodford will also use their $99,143.00 grant to upgrade the centre of the field, add new facilities including an announcer’s box, digital scoreboards, and an onsite gym for players.”
Glass House District Tennis Club is excited to receive $31,495.00 to replace court lighting, paving the way for night-time tennis in the near future.
Other community groups receiving funding this round include:
Maleny District Sport and Recreation Club – $14,020.00 to upgrade carpark
Sunshine Coast Motor Cycle Club – $49,500.00 to upgrade causeway
Woodford Community Art Group – $2,440.00 to install lighting

Round 126 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund will open mid-January and close on 28 February 2026. This round offers grants of up to $35,000.00
